Never Finished Video Games

Last week I was selling some of my video games to Newbury Comics, and it just hit me how I don’t really finish any of my games.

I’ve had a PS2 for 6 yrs, and I’m borrowing my boyfriends Gamecube (he has a Wii). And at home, somewhere we have a not working NES.

Yet, I have only ever finished 2 games in my entire life: God of War and Shadow Hearts. And even then, only played through them once.

It’s not like I have a bad choice in games, I got a bundle package with my PS2 that included Gran Turismo 3, Sly Cooper and Jak and Daxter. I still have Gran Turismo, but only to keep my younger cousins busy when they come over, I don’t even have a license in that game. But Sly Cooper and Jak and Daxter, I might have got half way through, then gave to cousins.

There’s also been Final Fantasy games: VII, IX, X, and X-2. X-2 was an awful game, that I got for like $10. X was alright, but I just never finished. I got that game because an older cousin of mine had it when his gf dumped him, and he was pissed, so he gave it to me, and this was when it still cost $50. VII and IX were good, and I was actually close to finishing IX, but then my memory card got messed up.

Then theres the Zelda and Mario games, never finished any of them when the NES was still working, or even on ROMs, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, Okami, Soul Calibur III and Tekken 3+4 where most things are still locked, and this list goes on and on.

Most of these games are still at home, and not with me on campus, and so I still have them just waiting, until I actually feel like playing them.

I suppose this is where some people would insert a really deep point or metaphor about people, just hanging out until they find someone to “Play” aka love them, but thats not me, so I won’t.

and besides, I’ve got a boyfriend :P
